Michael S. Altman, CPA - Treasurer - maltman@eikill.com

Mr. Altman is a principal of the firm and has over twenty-five years’ experience in public accounting, four years’ experience as a controller of a dairy cooperative and wholesale/retail distribution company, and started his career as an IRS agent. Mr. Altman practices in the areas of auditing, tax, management services, and is the tax principal of the firm. He has expertise in audits under HUD guidelines and numerous nonprofit organization audits, many of which require reporting under the Federal Single Audit Act. Mr. Altman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Mr. Altman participates in many civic and professional activities.

Mr. Peterson is a principal of the firm and has over eighteen years’ experience in public accounting including over four years with a national public accounting firm and eight years as owner of a local public accounting firm. Prior to pursuing his accounting career, Mr. Peterson was part of a successful family-owned timber harvesting operation for over fifteen years. Mr. Peterson practices in the areas of tax services and consulting for businesses and individuals, business management consulting, and business start-up issues including entity selection and legal organization. Mr. Peterson has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential as awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Peterson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Duluth. Mr. Peterson participates in various civic and professional activities.
